Job Summary
We are looking for a Monitoring Engineer to design, implement, and maintain monitoring solutions for applications and infrastructure. The role involves setting up and managing Splunk, Kibana, Grafana, and PagerDuty, writing SQL queries, and using Python scripts to automate monitoring tasks.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and set up monitoring solutions for applications, servers, and infrastructure.
- Configure and manage Splunk, Kibana, Grafana, and PagerDuty for log analysis, performance monitoring, and alerting.
- Write SQL queries to monitor database performance, failures, and anomalies.
- Implement log collection and analysis using Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Filebeat.
- Develop Python scripts to automate monitoring tasks such as log parsing, anomaly detection, and alerting.
- Monitor and troubleshoot application logs, server health, and network performance.
- Set up real-time dashboards to visualise system health and performance.
- Configure alerting mechanisms to detect and notify teams about critical issues.
- Work closely with IT, Infrastructure, and Application Support teams to improve monitoring coverage.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in Application and Infrastructure Monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools: Splunk, Kibana, Grafana, PagerDuty.
- Proficiency in SQL for database monitoring and analysis.
- Strong Python scripting skills for automation and monitoring tasks.
- Experience with log aggregation tools like Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Filebeat.
- Understanding of server monitoring (CPU, memory, disk usage), network monitoring, and log-based monitoring.
- Ability to configure alerts and notifications for system failures and performance issues.
- Familiarity with cloud-based monitoring (AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, GCP Stackdriver) is a plus.
